Solar panels collect dust and other debris reducing their effectiveness at generating power. Therefore, cleaning periodically to remove unwanted debris accumulation is important. Below are a few illustrations of how our brushes can be used in solar panel cleaning.
There are many different types of brushes that can be used to clean solar panels. We can help design and manufacture brushes for OEM’s and end users for their unique applications.
Send us your specifications and we can begin the process to finding the best brush solution.
On automated cleaning equipment, multiple strip brushes are set-up at an angle in a parallel row. Each brush is separated by an approximately 10 inch gap. The multiple brush swaths provide additional cleaning action, while the angle allows debris to fall away.
Brushes run over the solar panel surface. The brush engagement should be no more than .0625”.
Rotary and coil brushes are mounted on automated cleaning equipment. Regardless of brush size or speed, brush balance is implemented to ensure complete surface contact.
With the cylindrical brush in rotation, the brush moves across the width or down the length of the solar panel. The brush engagement should be no more than 0.625.”
